The River Fund’s mission " Empower those we serve to move beyond the lines of poverty”
Entering our fourth decade of service, RIVER FUND, a leading Poverty Frontline Center in New York City, knows and understands the contributory factors that cause the syndrome we commonly call “poverty.” Poverty is the intersection of multiple challenges in the life of an individual or family—which in combination become overwhelming.
RIVER FUND uses three integrated channels in our methodology —
o Providing more than 1,000,000 lbs. of groceries - monthly
o Serving approximately 3,500 Households - weekly
o Assisting over 15,000 Clients yearly: Services—SNAP, Immigration, Health Care... and more
o Mary C. Tiedemann Scholarship Fund
o Cradle to College Initiative
