Ravenswood Family Health Center

We are a non-profit community health center that provides primary medical care, dental care, and prevention services for all ages regardless of ability to pay. Our patients live in East Palo Alto, the Belle Haven community in Menlo Park, and the North Fair Oaks section of Redwood City. We have a staff of 110 full and part-time employees, including 24 medical professionals.

We have a wide variety of volunteer positions in both our medical and dental clinics.

Our medical volunteers tend to engage in short term (four to six month) projects with a member of our managerial or executive teams. Volunteers might help review charts of patients with diabetes and asthma, conduct a patient satisfaction survey, or assist in our pharmacy dispensary. Though we do ask for a minimum commitment of 8 hours per week our volunteers are able to take ownership of their projects while gaining valuable insight into safety-net healthcare.

Our dental clinic accepts volunteer dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants. In addition, we accept students planning on applying to dental programs or interested in the health care and medical arena. Our volunteers have the opportunity to learn the Dentrix system and work in a brand new, state of the art clinic.
