About Us
Lorne Adrain is a committed community leader running for Mayor of Providence, RI. He is the founder of National Neighborhood Day and is co-founder of Social Venture Partners-RI and BetterProvidence. As Chairman of the Board of Governors for Higher Education, he led the fight that made Rhode Island the first state in the nation with in-state tuition available for the children of undocumented immigrants. He has climbed Mounts Kilimnajaro, Elbrus and Aconcgua to raise funds in support of women's education, economic and health programs on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. He paid his way through the University of Rhode Island and Harvard Business School.
