the Montrose Center

  • About Us

    Our Mission

The Montrose Center empowers our community, primarily gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals and their families, to enjoy healthier and more fulfilling lives.

    Our Vision

We envision a healthier society marked by permanent, positive changes in attitudes and behaviors toward the LGBT community, and the ability of all LGBT individuals to realize their fullest potential.

    Our People & Programs

Our team of state-licensed clinicians, masters-level therapists, skilled educators, support staff and dedicated volunteers work together to create healthier futures for our clients. Our "beyond counseling" continuum of care utilizes a combination of traditional therapy, outreach, education, peer support, advocacy and case management to achieve the best behavioral health possible outcomes, and targets members of our community with the greatest needs. Our community programs offer something for everyone, with an emphasis on wellness, skills development and community building. Our space is open for not-for-profit and non-partisan purposes compatible with the Center's mission at affordable rates. We proudly serve as Houston's hub for LGBT community events and organizing.
