East Bronx Academy for the Future

  • About Us

East Bronx Academy for the Future is a sixth through twelfth grade school where we know that all people learn by doing. Our mission is to reach all students by using technology and hands-on, active learning to make sure students learn the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in college and the real world. Our school day includes extended periods of study designed to allow deep learning about a subject area. Bronx Academy students are nurtured and supported by caring adult advisors who make sure they’re on track academically and socially.

East Bronx Academy is a collaborative community. Teachers at Bronx Academy work in a team structure, where they collaborate every day to meet students’ needs and to learn from one another. Teacher teams are vital to the school’s mission, making decisions about issues including schedule, curriculum, hiring, mission and vision. Teachers and other staff members worked together to launch the school in 2004, and this tradition of collaboration is built into the daily life of the school today.

East Bronx Academy is located in a brand-new building at 1716 Southern Boulevard, at the174th Street Stop on the #2 and #5 trains, which is at the intersection of Boston Road and 174th Street. In September 2007, we will enroll 550 students in grades six through twelve.
