  • About Us

St. Agnes was founded in the Haight Ashbury area of San Francisco in 1893. In 1993 the Jesuit order was asked to take over the parish from the Diocese and is still run by the Jesuits today. St. Agnes is thriving and strives to be an inclusive urban community, rich in diversity of age, ethnicity, culture, talent and treasure. We are a refuge for the immigrant and the marginalized.
