  • About Us

Founded in 1968, Edmund Burke School is a progressive, urban, college-prep school in the Van Ness neighborhood of Washington D.C. for 300 students in grades 6-12. We provide a challenging education in a dynamic and supportive atmosphere characterized by mutual respect. We graduate critical thinkers with a strong sense of civic responsibility all of whom go on to college. Our mission and philosophy are inspired by the famous quote from Edmund Burke: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
