SPEEE- Society for Productive Engagement and Entertainment for Elderly

SPEEE envision to paradigm social and economic participation of elders. It is a Youth centered Social Enterprise startup based in Punjab, India providing solutions to response the 'Population Ageing'. The advent of modernization, industrialization, and urbanization lead to alteration of lifestyles and values, demanding jobs, rural to urban migration, and redefining of priorities resulted in the undesirable situation for elders. They are exposed to emotional, physical and financial insecurity. SPEEE believe and stressed on the statement given by WHO "if the ageing is to be a positive experience, long life must be accompanied by continued opportunities for the participation". Imagine the world where elders are living resourcefully with the dignity. SPREE committed to help target group of 55 to 75 years of age by creating a community of elders and facilitating them to connect to the opportunities and assist them to grow their businesses in the modern market. Intern will work at the Grass-root level across the Old Age Homes in Amritsar, working towards strategy planning under the various domains to facilitate and ensure the productive participation of elders.
