About Us
Congregation Beth Shalom is a compassionate, welcoming, inclusive and above all, loving, faith - based Jewish community. People describe CBS as “my family” and "comfortable”. Almost 230 families join together in prayer, song, education, community service, and the celebration of life-cycle events in a true feeling of community.
CBS offers a home where you can live your Judaism in a contemporary world, drawing on our ancient teachings and traditions. We do this with present-day understanding to create a dynamic and diverse community, welcoming you and your involvement.
Congregation Beth Shalom strives to:
- Transform lives through the observance and teaching of mitzvot, the commandments;
- Help shape the moral and ethical behavior of all people by teaching the values demonstrated by Torah role models and Talmudic descriptions; and
- Create a kehillah, a holy community, which molds a child and an adult into a responsible citizen of the world, caring for all living beings.
