    San Francisco Beautiful (SFB) is a non-profit civic improvement organization founded by Friedel Klussmann in 1947. Our mission for over 60 years has been to create, enhance and protect the unique beauty and livability of San Francisco. The mission is achieved in partnership with our members by working with civic leaders and community organizations to promote healthy and sustainable urban planning and design policies, encouraging and rewarding citizen activism through our annual Beautification Awards, and giving grants to community groups for neighborhood improvement projects.
