CD offers digital tools and services that assist performing arts groups in organizing, digitizing, and presenting their historical materials, particularly those that struggle with the initial financial or practical hurdles of creating archives. Though well-funded companies can hire an archivist, most cannot, leaving their history inaccessible in storerooms and basements.

The survival of the archives is of particular concern for companies that emphasize the works of marginalized artists—a central tenet of our work. We help cement their place in history and guide them in setting up a future informed by their past that can be used for education, publicity, fundraising, and outreach.

Our mission, however, extends beyond preservation; we connect the public to aspects of history that were previously unavailable, fostering greater appreciation for the performing arts.
