Thames Valley Council for Community Action, Inc.

Thames Valley Council for Community Action (TVCCA) is a private, non-profit Community Action Agency, incorporated in 1965, serving all of New London County and parts of Windham and Tolland Counties. We are well recognized as a community leader – and partner – in advocating for and meeting the needs of the region’s economically and otherwise disadvantaged citizens. TVCCA programs work with families and individuals of all ages to empower them to be self-sufficient. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of the communities we serve, while fulfilling funders’ requirements. Education, housing, nutrition, financial literacy, employment, training and senior programs each strive to improve the lives of those receiving the service. Case management services provide crisis intervention and longer-term solutions for the challenges faced by our clients each day. TVCCA strives to achieve economic stability in the lives we touch. By partnering with other health and human services providers and supporting local businesses, each day TVCCA works hard to address issues of poverty throughout the region, in hope of making the lives of the people receiving services a little better.
