About Us
The Maine Labor Climate Council (MLCC) is a coalition of labor unions working to combat climate change and reverse economic inequality. We see the climate and inequality crises as interrelated crises that demand a comprehensive response. We seek to develop the labor movement’s vision for how to tackle these crises in a way that creates good Maine union jobs, reduces carbon emissions and economic inequality, raises standards and organizes workers in the renewable energy economy and strategizes and fights for justice in any economic or community transitions.
