About Us
ONE of two health centers licensed by Brigham and Women's Hospital, Southern Jamaica Plain Health Center provides comprehensive primary care in the following areas: adult medicine, pediatrics, mental health, substance abuse, obstetrics, gynecology, midwifery, family planning, podiatry, cardiology, nutrition and WIC. More than 8,000 patients in Jamaica Plain and surrounding communities (including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors) make approximately 35,000 visits to Southern Jamaica Plain Health Center every year. The health center features a bilingual Spanish/English medical and professional staff. Special services include the WIC Program, case management, substance abuse services, stress-management and support groups, smoking cessation groups, and nutrition groups for patients with diabetes. Free mammograms are offered four times a year through the American Cancer Society.
