    SHADES of Development is a non-profit afterschool program that provides learning-based educational programming. We operate in nine schools across Knox County. Job positions will be for an OST (Out of School Time) Specialist with the SHADES Afterschool Program leading STEM or Creative Arts based clubs.

    The goal of an OST (Out of School Time) Specialist is to provide a safe and fun environment that allows children to explore, experiment, and challenge their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. OST Specialist are adults that build caring, trusting, and mutually respectful relationships with children through sharing knowledge, actively listening, modeling appropriate behavior, setting limits, and consistently enforcing limits.
