SBP's mission is to shrink the time between disaster and recovery. We can't prevent natural disasters. But we can prevent some of the suffering they cause. By increasing resilience before disasters occur and streamlining the post-disaster recovery process, we're able to fortify people against unnecessary stress and trauma. By taking a targeted approach to the wide-ranging task of disaster preparation and recovery, we’re able to have a greater impact and help speed recovery on a larger scale. We would not be able to do the work we do without the time and hard work of generous volunteers who are dedicated to helping those in need.
