Dog Tag Inc. (DTI)’s social enterprise, Dog Tag Bakery, acts as a living business school. We empower transitioning service-disabled veterans, military spouses, and caregivers to rediscover purpose through an innovative business and entrepreneurship-focused fellowship program. With a holistic focus on developing the whole person and facilitating the military-to-civilian cultural shift, DTI’s five-month program reflects the needs of today’s transitioning veterans, military spouses, and caregivers. Our high-touch, high-impact approach allows us to provide individualized attention to our Fellows, connecting them with the resources and tools needed to achieve their version of success.

Our program is comprised of four main elements: education; hands-on learning; career exploration; and wellness. Fellows earn a Certificate of Business Administration from Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies in the classroom above our bakery. We bring that education to life through rotation - Fellows spend 9 hours/week rotating through Dog Tag Bakery’s departments to learn the ins and outs of running a small business. Lastly, Fellows practice a variety of self-care disciplines to manage stress and build resiliency for future success.
