    The Urban Safety Corps is located on the University of Michigan-Flint campus, with program oversight provided by the Department of Public Safety for UM-Flint. The program is working to implement initiatives to increase public safety by decreasing victimization and increasing community in the University Avenue Corridor. The interventions employed by the Program are intended to reduce blight, support community by promoting communication among residents/organizations and engage volunteers from across the greater Flint area to stimulate not only community service, but national service as well.
