Youth Advocacy Foundation

  • About Us

The Youth Advocacy Foundation (YAF) was incorporated in 2001 with the mission of providing support to the Youth Advocacy Project, now the statewide Youth Advocacy Division of the Committee for Public Counsel Services (the state public defender agency). The Youth Advocacy Division's overarching purpose is to improve legal and life outcomes for youth. To that end, the Youth Advocacy Division provides holistic legal services to court-involved youth through Massachusetts as well as policy work and school-based legal advocacy via the EdLaw Project. Both the EdLaw Project and the policy work are not state funded but rather exclusively operate with private funds, relying upon YAF for on-going financial support.
