  • About Us

The Women’s Therapy Center (WTC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1979 to offer affordable psychotherapy and in-depth professional training for psychotherapists in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our therapists provide psychotherapy to adolescent girls and individuals (14-18), adult women, couples, and trans* and gender non-conforming individuals of all ethnicities and sexual orientations.

The WTC has two overlapping goals: 1) to strengthen individuals, families, and communities through supportive mental health services; and 2) to grow the field of social justice-minded providers by training culturally-competent, relational psychotherapists.

The WTC is comprised of a small, passionate part-time staff, a dedicated volunteer faculty, inspiring students, and a growing membership. The organization relies on the active participation of all constituencies to maintain a vital training program, socially responsible client services, and a meaningful sense of community.
