About Us
- Founded in Spring 2016 by the musicians of the former Boston Classical Orchestra, BB&B is a professional chamber orchestra that plays a five-concert subscription series in Faneuil Hall, with the expectation of adding youth concerts, run-outs, and other concerts in the future.
- With a growing annual operating budget approaching $200,000, BB&B engages 18 to 44 orchestra musicians (as repertoire demands and budget permits), a part-time music director, and a part-time general manager.
- Under the direction of music director Steven Lipsitt, the BB&B has earned rave reviews from audiences, musical community colleagues, and the press, which has referred to these Faneuil Hall concerts as a “hidden gem” of Boston’s musical scene.
