  • About Us

The Neighborhoods Resource Center was founded in 1997. The NRC arose out of the needs of Nashville's neighborhood organizations, the vision of its founders, and the mission and strategic planning of the Nashville Neighborhood Alliance, Inc. (NNA). NRC assists residents by providing information, leadership training, consulting, and supportive services, as well as by forming collaborative relationships with, and providing support to, institutions that serve neighborhoods. At the heart of our mission is the knowledge that the key to improving the quality of life in neighborhoods is engaging residents in identifying priorities and strategies for change rather than simply bringing in solutions from outside the community.
