  • About Us

The Common Place serves children and their families in Southwest Philadelphia through educational programs, social service collaboration, and faith formation. The Common Place was founded in October 2013 to address the needs of children experiencing the realities of poverty, underfunded, underperforming, and overcrowded schools, and violence. Our goal is to broaden the horizons of children through art, music, and wellness, while providing nutritious meals and a safe place to be creative, explore their imaginations, and hone their academic skills and talents.
