About Us
Created in 1998, Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals, Inc (CARE) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and relies upon the spirit of volunteerism to combat a brutal reality: thousands of adoptable pets are euthanized in Central Arkansas every year. CARE is dedicated to educating our communtiy about the existence and consequence of pet overpopulation, as well as one clear and simple remedy: sterilize your pet! To this end, CARE works tirelessly to offer free and low-cost spay/neuter surgery. For those unwanted pets who are capable of adoption, CARE works to recover as many of them as possible from the street or the shelter, then provide medical care and loving homes.
