About Us
WAM! provides space for media producers, PR strategists, journalists, activists, academics, community organizers, feminists, funders and philanthropists, “citizen” media watchdogs, media policy advocates, alternative-network-builders, bloggers, writers, teachers, artists, technology trainers, cartoonists, deejays, and many others to address the myriad of issues impacting women, girls and our global communities.
And WAM! gets results – through the Conference, local chapters, and the year-round online community, WAM!mers help each other place op-eds and articles, get powerful media jobs, leverage new technology, hold the media accountable, produce and promote books, films, and other projects, get stories told about our lives and work, and change the very structure of the media itself.
