Williams Bay, WI

  • About Us

George Williams College endows students with the awareness, skills and confidence to create sustainable, long-term solutions for the betterment of society.

Founded in 1890 as part of the YMCA, George Williams upholds the values of that iconic institution, educating students in body, mind, spirit and service. The college offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in fields that specialize in serving others and that inspire our community commitment to social entrepreneurism. Through innovation, integrity, and daring, we believe our students can effect positive change in their local and global communities, as well as in their own lives.

Located in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, on the shores of Lake Geneva, George Williams is a living learning lab—the ideal setting for an integrated, experiential education. Here students graduate with a resume, not just a diploma. Our holistic, liberal arts curriculum gets them out of the classroom, learning by doing. Our picturesque setting (just two hours from downtown Chicago and one hour from Milwaukee or Madison, Wisconsin) offers numerous opportunities for volunteerism, internships, and social entrepreneurial ventures—key experience sought by employers.

Small class sizes and a close-knit community ensure personal attention from professors and staff members and a close bond with classmates. Together, the George Williams community connects students with the networks and resources they need to achieve their personal and professional goals. In fulfilling the passions of each individual within our community, George Williams works to advance creativity, global awareness, diversity of thought, and societal wellbeing.
