  • About Us

The UNAA Victoria is a non-profit, non-government, membership-based, community organization working to promote the aims and ideals of the United Nations and seek support for the UN and its programs and agencies.

We engage the Australian community on key issues on the United Nations agenda and provide an information and referral service to the community. We inform and educate the Australian public on UN priorities such as: sustainable development, human rights, gender equality, the environment, climate change, global health, the Millennium Development Goals, the UN Global Compact, humanitarian action, peace and security. We seek to strengthen global citizenship by linking Australians with the UN and the global network of UN Associations. We work to empower and inspire Australians to take local actions and constructively engage with issues of global concern.

We achieve these priorities through our public education programs for all sectors of the Australian community. We work with schools, universities, NGOs, community groups, governments and businesses to raise awareness of the United Nations and its work, and address critical challenges currently facing the international community.
