    Writers In Treatment (W.I.T) is an independent California non-profit started by writers and substance abuse counselors in 2008. W.I.T not only underwrites the cost of residential substance abuse therapy for up to 30 days, we also provide continuing after-care, therapy, 12-step programs and relapse prevention awareness. W.I.T. sponsors creative writing workshops, book publishing and an annual film series. W.I.T is funded by individual contributions, grants, fundraising events and projects.
