    The UMB Community Engagement Center (CEC) gives West Baltimore resdients a place to access an abundance of services that promote neighborhood and economic development. It’s also a place that brings the University and community together in scholarship aimed at solving complex and persistent problems that diminish residents’ quality of life. It is the vision of the University of Maryland, Office of Community Engagement that in consultation with representatives of our surrounding communities as well as individual neighbors, the Center will be able to provide: health resources and screenings; legal clinics; exercise classes; referrals, workforce development and help with job searching; guest lectures; afterschool programming, YouthWorks summer jobs; and monthly community meals.
