About Us
Social Income is a non-profit organization based in Zürich, Switzerland.
It aims at giving everyone a chance to contribute to, and benefit from, a fairer world by transforming 1% of salaries from the Global North into an unconditional basic income (UBI) for people in the Global South – guaranteed for three years.
It is a radically simple solution in our fight against poverty: thanks to the widespread use of mobile phones and mobile banking, donated amounts can be transferred directly onto recipients' phones, without requiring anything in return.
Social Income is currently active in Sierra Leone.
