    The Association for Metroarea Autistic Children is one of the premier providers of high-quality programming for people with autism, developmental disabilities and emotional disorders. Founded in 1961, AMAC has long been at the forefront of developing special education services. Based in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, the agency provides education and training to children and young adults through a range of programs including early intervention, preschool, year-round educational programming for ages 5 to 21, adult services, and a residential summer camp in Alpine, New Jersey.
