  • About Us

The mission of the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society (SCVAS) is to maintain, preserve, and protect native animal and plant habitats and to foster a greater public awareness of our environment with an emphasis on birds and their ecosystems, particularly in Santa Clara County and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our chapter, which was founded in 1926 and is headquartered in Cupertino, serves our nearly 4000 members in communities throughout Santa Clara County. In addition to our general programs, such as the monthly Membership Meetings, free birding field trips, and publications, our chapter focuses on three major areas: birding, education, and conservation.
