State Democracy Defenders Action

State Democracy Defenders Action is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization dedicated to defeating election sabotage and denial, fighting autocracy, and building a resilient democracy. It is the central organization for a family of organizations that also includes State Democracy Defenders Fund (c3) and Democracy Defenders PAC. We were founded to counter the threat to our democracy and address vulnerabilities in our electoral system. We respond to election sabotage crises in real time, build long-term infrastructure to make our democratic processes more resilient and secure, and pursue accountability against anti-democratic actors. State Democracy Defenders Action was founded in 2023 by Ambassador Norm Eisen (ret.), alongside other leading figures in democracy defense, elections, and law.
