Seeds @ City Urban Farm

Located in the heart of downtown San Diego, the Seeds@City Urban Farm serves as the outdoor classroom for City College's Sustainable Urban Agriculture program. We nurture urban farmers while increasing community access to nutritious food, supporting self-reliance, and building a thriving local economy.

Seeds@City was formed through a partnership between San Diego City College and San Diego Roots Sustainable Food Project. Established in June 2008, the farm provides students with hands-on experiences necessary for learning the skills of urban farming and is the first––and still only–– program of its kind at an institution of higher education in San Diego County. Our goal is to train the next generation of urban farmers in sustainable agriculture to build a food secure city and region.

At Seeds @ City you can:

• work toward a career-tech certificate or Associate degree in Sustainable Urban Agriculture
• take urban agriculture classes for your personal development
• get your hands dirty as a volunteer (we encourage both one-time and regular volunteers)
• enjoy a beautiful, working farm right on campus
• purchase local seasonal produce at our weekly Thursday farm stand on campus *during the academic year only
• become a shareholder in our weekly community supported agriculture (CSA) program and take home a bag of fresh seasonal produce on Thursdays all year long.

The main Seeds@City farm is located at San Diego City College at the corner of 14th and C Streets between Saville Theater and the LRC, just below Curran Plaza.

Parking is free on Saturdays.
