    What is the Center for Community Health, Education & Research?

    The Center for Community Health, Education & Research (CCHER) is a non-profit community-based organization established in 1990.

    CCHER's mission is to increase access to different types of services for Haitian HIV consunmers by providing commprehensive case management, affordable housinmg, home-delivered meals and support services to low income families; to improve the well being of HIV consumers through psychosocial counseling methods; to reduce other potential causes of disease to Dorchester residents by implementing community and culturally-based interventions aimed at behavior change through continuing health education; and lastly, to test and analyze interventions and services in relation to their outcomes and impact on the community.

    Our Objectives are:
