  • About Us

Founded in 1903, the YMCA of the Central Bay Area (formerly the Berkeley-Albany YMCA) is an association of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of every child, improving our communities' health & wellbeing, and giving back and providing support to our neighbors. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or backgrounds, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
