  • About Us

The Brighton Park Neighborhood Council (BPNC) is a community-based grassroots organization serving Chicago's southwest side. BPNC works to build community capacity and empower local residents to advocate for their rights. Our mission is to create safer communities, improve the learning environment for students of color, increase affordable health care, preserve affordable housing, embrace diversity, provide a voice for youth, protect immigrant’s rights, promote gender equity, end violence, and fight all forms of oppression. BPNC assists oppressed people in developing organizing campaigns aimed at increasing equity for low-income communities of color, improving public policy and addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality.
