  • About Us

The Humane Society of Northwest Georgia is a shelter for dogs and cats that serves Dalton Georgia and the surrounding area. We currently rescue an average of 387 dogs and cats per year, most of which are pulled from the local pound where they would have been euthanized. We are a no-kill shelter and strive to find loving forever homes for our dogs and cats no matter how long that may take. We also offer assistance to the community through reduced cost spay and neuter programs and education about animal welfare.
