    The River House is a participatory, community-based, arts and music venue. Located in a historic building overlooking the Cacapon River, the program includes live performances, art classes, community gatherings and open workspace. In addition to group activities, local artists enjoy a venue for demonstrating and selling their work. Free wi-fi and a nourishing menu of local pastries, home-made dishes and espresso bar add to the welcoming “sit and stay awhile” ambiance. Our mission is to provide a fun, welcoming space where participation in the Arts inspires deep community connections and nourishes the lives of individuals and families in Hampshire County, WV, the broader region including the Washington, DC area ,and beyond. Our organization's programs emphasize the importance of active participation, affordable access, and multi-generational education. The program has three main components:

    • Participatory Community Art Experiences
    • Arts Education
    • Local Artist Support and Exposure
