    The mission of the Calaveras Humane Society is to promote an excellent quality of life for the animals of our County. We seek to involve and engage the greater community in achieving our mission.

    The Calaveras Humane Society is a non-profit organization of volunteer citizens who care about the destiny and welfare of companion animals. We try to pick up where the county government leaves off.

    Our challenge is local animal welfare, not animal rights.

    The Calaveras Humane Society relies on local donations and does not accept funding from, nor support from, national animal rights organizations or humane societies.
