    Mercy Volunteer Corps promotes social change by placing and supporting volunteers for one year of service with people who are economically poor and socially marginalized in the U.S. and South America. Volunteers work in professional roles in education, healthcare, and social services. Volunteers live together in community and commit to spiritual growth and living simply. Mercy Volunteers receive housing, medical insurance, transportation, a monthly stipend, student loan deferment, and more.
