About Us
Academy Prep, founded in 1997, is a tuition free, private middle school for inner city students in grades 5 through 8 who qualify for need based support. All students attend up to 11 hours a day, six days a week, year round on full scholarships paid for by the local community. Through our rigorous academic curriculum, wide ranging enrichment program, and strong emphasis on character development, we prepare them academically, socially, and ethically for success in a college preparatory program, college, and for a lifetime of productive citizenship and leadership.
