  • About Us

The First Hill Improvement Association is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization whose mission is to make Seattle’s First Hill a safe, welcoming, accessible, and vibrant place where all people can thrive. FHIA works in the realms of Urban Design, Parks and Public Open Space, Economic Development, Public Safety, and Community Building to foster a neighborhood that leads with creativity and courage on some of Seattle’s most pressing concerns.

FHIA is a membership-based organization which collaborates with a wide-variety of neighborhood stakeholders, public agencies and departments, and partner organizations to build a resilient community. Through education, organizing, events, and advocacy we seek to bring the variety of First Hill communities together around the mission as outlined in our Strategic Plan.
