Spheres of Influence

Spheres of Influence is a non-profit digital publication dedicated to explaining and analyzing issues in international relations and global affairs in an accessible and engaging way. In short, we are passionate about making complex topics accessible to everyone while offering a refreshing alternative to the mainstream media. We are based out of Vancouver, Canada, on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. However, we aim to provide a platform for youth across the globe to voice their perspectives and publish their work and our team is comprised of talented and passionate young individuals from across the globe. 

Through our articles, Spheres of Influence works to highlight underreported global issues, amplify marginalized voices, and unpack the deeper historical, political, economic, and social contexts of major contemporary news events. Our team, which is entirely volunteer-based, comprises 50 young, passionate, and talented individuals across the globe. Volunteering with Spheres of Influence is an exceptional opportunity for students, recent graduates, and young professionals to gain meaningful experience in journalism, international relations, editing, marketing, communications, and more. Together, we are empowering the next generation of global change-makers.
