About Us
Because everyone deserves to read! We build and improve libraries in Washington, DC area schools, shelters, prisons and more; we support reading programs; and we provide children in the Nation's Capital with their first take-home books. Recipients include hospitals, inner-city and rural schools, assisted living communities for seniors, adult literacy programs, V.A. hospitals, youth centers, women's shelters, hospices, and so on. We accept incoming books donations as well. You can check our website for more information.
We have a used bookstore location in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. located at 1417 22nd St NW (at the corner of 22nd & P St). The store is open Mon/Fri/Sat 10-6, Tue/Wed/Thurs 10-9, and Sun 11-5. They can be reached at (202) 835-2665 for inquiries.
