The Stepping Stones Foundation (Stepping Stones - Historic Home of Bill & Lois Wilson)

  • About Us

The mission of the Stepping Stones Foundation is to foster public understanding of alcoholism and inspire recovery by preserving and sharing the historic home, archives, and legacy of Bill and Lois Wilson, cofounders, respectively, of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon Family Groups.

The privately-run nonprofit National Historic Landmark in Katonah, NY, offers opportunities to explore the Wilsons’ history and the beloved home where they lived and worked from 1941 until their deaths in 1971 and 1988, respectively. Donations of friends help the Stepping Stones Foundation—a tax-exempt organization founded by Lois—maintain, preserve, and provide access to the site and archives.
