  • About Us

The CNSC is an independent, non-profit organization supporting Canadian sub-arctic research and education since 1976. Our mission statement is 'to understand and sustain the north'. The CNSC's practices are founded upon a code of ethics rooted in local ecological knowledge, scientific research and the Philosophy of the Seven Generations.

We host long-term research, graduate studies, university programs, non-credit courses (incl. EarthWatch, Elderhostel, CNSC Learning Vacations) and a variety of individual, community and school tours.
