About Us
From the moment you step into the lobby, you will be awed by our collections of creatures - from Mammoths to Mastodons and Pterosaurs to Trilobites. In our galleries you will find fossils of dinosaurs and other creatures as well as take a step back in time in an ancient Hohokam village. You can even pan for gold in our courtyard or dig for dinosaurs in our Paleo dig pit.
The mission of the Arizona Museum of Natural History is to inspire understanding and appreciation of the natural and cultural history of the Southwest. The educational philosophy of the Arizona Museum of Natural History is to engage a diverse audience in creative, fun, meaningful and lasting learning experiences. Volunteers are essential to the museum fulfilling our mission and educational objectives.
