The Game Academy

Expert Educators and Game Masters Teaching 21st Century Skills Through Role-Play

The Game Academy is an inclusive educational program for children 8 to 18 that uses tabletop and live action role-playing games to teach history, science, math, drama, English and life skills in a way that is engaging and fun. Students take learning into their own hands, and are empowered through the context of the game toward creative group collaboration, developing communication skills, and increasing their capacity for empathizing with others.

Our Enrichment Gaming Program uses storytelling-based games to offer students a safe environment to make important decisions that affect themselves and their fellow players. Participants learn how to work together to achieve goals and build confidence as they experience the outcomes of their choices--this kind of game play doesn't just teach important facts and skills, but also enables students to build strong friendships that can last for years!

The Game Academy operates in multiple locations throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California, Oregon, and Washington, as well as an online version of our Enrichment Gaming Program.
