  • About Us

Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (USA) is an organization of families and professionals working together to raise awareness, offer support, provide education and advocacy, and promote and fund research to enhance the quality of life of those affected by Prader-Willi syndrome.

Prader-Willi Syndrome is the most common genetic cause of life-threatening obesity in children that has been identified.

Prader-Willi is a tragic syndrome that impacts everyone involved. Persons in the community that come into contact with a child with PWS are often overwhelmed with their weight and behavior, while the family of the child is overwhelmed by the lack of community resources and support. Experience has shown that awareness and early education can prevent obesity-related deaths and years of isolation and emotional trauma to the family and child.
